We know you’d love more updates from the field, and here’s why they’re a bit rare.

The elephants are in a part of the mountain that’s easy for them to access but quite challenging for us. With limited cellphone reception, we rely on radio communication. Videos come through when our Elephant Guardians find reception, which is scarce up in the mountains.

To ensure we disturb them as little as possible, our monitoring happens from a distance. Rest assured, we know their movements every hour of every day, even if social media updates are limited for now!
